Tucked away off the back streets between Coolum and Maroochydore, the mostly residential coastal suburb of Mudjimba has a stunning beach, friendly locals, a smattering of great eateries, a wonderful beachside playground, surf club and plenty of tranquil cycle and walking paths to explore. Locals enjoy the combination of quiet anonymity and close proximity to the Sunshine Motorway which gives convenient access to other parts of the region as well as the Sunshine Coast airport nearby. With the fishing and boating on offer on the adjacent Maroochy River and one of the best surf breaks on the coast to be found at the iconic Mudjimba Island (affectionately known as Old Woman Island) just offshore, Mudjimba is a much-loved beachside haven.
